Makes sense. A nice warm shower drops cortisol, relaxes you and strongly activates the parasympathetic nervous system (via the vagus nerve), which dampens the sympathetic “fight-or-flight” response. The more relaxed you feel, the less tense your muscles and vocal folds are, resulting in temporarily more fluent speech. How long does this effect last for you?
