Speaking in a different language has completely eliminated my stutter I've struggled with stuttering my entire life. Middle school was hell, and high school wasn't much better. I've been learning Italian for the past year using Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, and Duolingo. I can't quite figure out why, but my stuttering when I speak my native English has completely subsided. Even with my severe anxiety and depression, I haven't had a SINGLE stutter in ~3 months. Does anyone know why this could be? I'm not bragging because the thought of having to speak so slowly that people judge me and assume I'm mentally disabled because of my speech impediment still gives me intense anxiety, but the fact that I haven't had a problem coherently talking to people really makes me feel much better about my communication skills. I've always lurked this subreddit, but I just wanted to say thank you so much everyone for the push I needed to help myself conquer this lifelong problem. I'm sure it's not over yet, as the solution to stuttering has never been easy, but I'm confident I can overcome this problem in my life. To sum it up, how have you guys tried to overcome your stuttering problem? I believe I've found a really good solution for myself, but surely you guys must have a different yet effective for dealing with this,
