I do not agree with your last sentence. This is doomthinking. People will accept you, and will sometimes even forget that you stutter once you're just out and about, being yourself. What is true though, is that there is no point in pleasing anyone. Always put yourself as the #1 priority in your convos. Realize that you have the right to take your time, to speak however you will speak. If they somehow walk away or whatever, they are not worth your time anyways.
