Yes, but these *complex situations* (such as stressful ones) are not **cause** for stuttering, but rather **condition/fertile ground** where stuttering is visible. It is neural/genetic handicap which is only visible under certain conditions. It is like having broken steering wheel while driving car. Through simpler scenarios you will navigate without a problem, but in complex ones your disability will shine, and you will crash. And people will assume it's skill issue and your inability to handle complex situations. *"You managed to drive completely fine many times, which means you can drive, so you have no excuse - you are just bad driver with lack of skill"*.
