I'm 18 too. Speech therapy helped me personally. It didn't fix it but it have me tools to manage it better. How to deal with your stutter depends on what kind of stutter you are. For me, I try to make myself slow down, breathe, and say different words if I get blocked on one. Reading aloud was good practice, and forcing yourself to talk to people (even though it's not fun) is really beneficial as well.
