So, I'm less than an hr outside of NYC the land of I'M WALKIN HERE... I found going out with people who drink l, as someone who doesn't drink, is an acceptable way to be loud. drunk people get loud and holler across the bar. Clubs are louder. Other than going to a club, bar or street fair or NYC or a city on a holiday and being ready to be just another one of hundreds of loud folks.... (Which honestly I could get overwhelmed!) in a car is the best place I get to do this. There are a lot of people doing careless things on the road. I'm already seeing and avoiding them the commentary is for me. It's not the same as having an "audience". Ideally you don't want to be yelling out the car at people. Don't get road raged. Don't yell at people from cars. I'm talking IN the car. -The material writes itself. If someone did something Dumb or they are being a Bozo... In my bubble I can get that out! Family doesn't like that I swear so much but if I'm being honest I do not stutter when I'm swearing. Those are words I use unabashedly and for good reason. I don't doubt my ability to get them out and it's hard to explain! I'm also more fluent when I'm sarcastic. "Great everyone. great. I'm glad we can all be here. Having this talk. Great talk." Is the toned down passive aggressive talk down tone I use on other drivers when family is in the car. I would use that like if many people ran a light in the city leading to the next group fully clogging the intersection... Leading to complete gridlock. I hated repeating things in SLP but you can really practice cadence effortlessly with phrases like "What is THIS guy DOING?" "Hey BUDDY nice SIGNAL" "WHO DOES that?!" I keep it sarcastic and not angry so it's cathartic and doesn't really add to my stress. Civilian dashcam footage is also a great way to get effortless material for this sort of practice.
