Sure, but I think acting does often produce more fluent speech for lots of stutterers; the linked article basically says as much. That doesn't meant that acting is the *only* time certain stutterers might be fluent. Stuttering is weird (as I'm sure you know) -- I have to do public speaking too at times, and quite often in that sort of situation I'm completely fine. I don't know why; you'd think it would be the opposite. Something about the adrenaline rush, maybe. But put me on a phone having to ask for directions, or ask me an unexpected question in a normal conversation, and gah. I dunno. No answers. But it's interesting (and frustrating!).
