Your caution is warranted but you fundamentally don't know what you're talking about. Stuttering is not due to a lack of confidence, a developed pattern, nor is it due to deeper, psychological or behavioural aspects. Drugs don't mask symptoms, nor are they quick fixes, they directly attack the neural correlates in the brain.
