I am the parent of a 9 year old that stutters. I'm deeply saddened to hear there were parents that mocked their kids. This has never happened in our household, however I have to admit feeling frustrated (always at the end of long days) when my son isn't speaking smoothly and part of that frustration is due to the fact that I know he can speak much more fluidly when he is being mindful. That being said I don't know what it's like, and he's my son and I love him and I always feel guilty. I've never said anything to him and he's quite confident and popular amongst his peers but reading some of the comments about dad's looking frustrated when their kids stutter is breaking my heart.
