I understand your point. I think what I mean is you’ll often see actors for example, saying don’t let it hold you back when the vast majority of them stopped stuttering before adulthood. I think this downplays the impact stuttering has on individuals, leading to the masses dismissing it or not taking it seriously. I would also say theres likely a problem in terms of representation due to the fact that stuttering is more often than not limiting, or certainly feels that way for many, meaning there’s not many high profile people who stutter in general.
