What your proposing is overcoming the mental anxiety caused by the anticipation of saying a word, and in turn, increasing fluency when saying these words. Is this correct? I find stuttering for me is a mental game. When I think about a word and get nervous, it makes it harder to say it. But sometimes I'll say the word fluently because I didn't think about it. I just said it. It's a good strategy, and I do it quite often, but I think of it more as an adaptive method than a cure. I still stutter, but by using this method, I'm just less nervous when I do stutter. Honestly, the best cure for stuttering (that suits my needs) is caring about it less. The less I worry about what others think of my speech, the happier I am.
