It's an interesting point for sure. I have a very mild to moderate stutter that really only crops on weird occasions - but primarily when I'm frustrated, or very very nervous. I've accepted the fact that I have a minor stutter, and my wife has as well. Childhood was rough for me. People we not kind, even my dad was very hard on me. Do I wish I didn't have a stutter? Absolutely. I feel that it does hold me back from being able to articulate exactly what I want to say, but even more so the WAY I want to say it. It hasn't held me back in my career (software engineer), and I rarely ever stutter when speaking about my profession or things I feel comfortable with in general.
