I don't meditate. but when I do, I do it for the sole purpose of killing any trauma. I literally mentally relive whatever "harsh" event I went through which may be bothering me at the time, and it makes me at peace with it or something. it doesn't bother me as much anymore. maybe confront your internal thoughts and focus on every detail, especially the bad ones.
