Thing is, with a stutter, it isn't about forgetting the word. You *know* what you want to say. You just can't say it. So the analogy just isn't correct there. Even a stutterer that doesn't like you finishing a word he or she is having trouble saying is likely to appreciate help with a word he or she has simply forgotten.
