I’ve learned over the years that when I stand in front of a mirror and stutter with all my blocks, repetition and facial grimacing I definitely do look retarded. When you look at how others perceive you, you begin to understand as to why they laugh at you. Have you ever laughed at a clown at the circus. Was your first thought about the welfare of the clown when they do all their antics. Are you laughing at the clown or what he was doing in the act. Many times when we stutter we actually look funny trying to get our words out.
