My daughter was doing exactly that. Jumping or doing moves like a rodeo horse, throwing her head forward to get past blocks. Very alarming and upsetting. I’d say it went on for about 6 weeks. We employed a system of talking very fluidly and calmly around her. Playing very gentle games and talking through actions in a calm simple way. “I fill the cup. I pour the water slowly out”. “The car drives up to the garage. The car drives up the ramp”. Really simply gentle speech. She loved it. We spoke in calm, short, simple sentences around her. Her relapses went hand in hand with developmental brain and language leaps.
