I work in a lab doing research for my university, which is very nice because I don't have to worry about much talking. Unfortunately, I also have another job where I answer phones and basically do secretarial duties. That's a killer, especially because I work with students who aren't patient and give me dirty looks if I can't answer a question for them in a reasonable amount of time. It must also be weird to call the office I work in and hear silence at the end of the line until I can force out some kind of noise.
