Standing up for yourself

Standing up for yourself How do you all deal with people assuming what you want and literally putting words in your mouth when you can't say a single word in order to say what you actually think? Like they just have an opinion and taking advantage of the stutter, they just put their words and their thoughts in my mind/mouth. And if I try to stand up for myself and say "no, that's not what I think/want", I look like an idiot anyways because I'd stutter and it would take so much time while looking at them in the eyes.
