Im in retail and this sometimes happens. They do it, probably thinking with their miniscule 'har har' brains that I'm putting it on and I'd laugh with them. I straight up tell them "I have a stutter. Don't ever do that." and they have the actual audacity to look horrified and cringe at themselves. As they should! What, do they think I'm putting it on? They probably are actually that stupid. I've put up with too much disrespect to take this lying down. Every form of this, people making fun of us for stuttering, is discrimination in my eyes. We are afflicted by this condition we cannot control, and taken the piss out for it. It's bullying, whether the idiots who do it want to admit it or not.
