Stuttering more with alcohol Hi all! First time poster here :) Does anyone have an issue of stuttering MORE with alcohol? I find that when I drink, I have quite significant blockage at the start of sentences. I do tend to speak quicker than average in general (people have commented on it during presentations). However, during calls, public speaking, presentations, I don't really struggle as much (I was previously a teacher). What I do find is that sometimes if in a skype call, if I want to say something, I will stutter quickly at the start, but only slightly. However, after drinking alcohol, this becomes a lot more prominent. My thought process when drinking is (as I'm sure is quite common..) I want to say something --> worried about stuttering --> blocking in my head over a sound, trying to think of a different sound --> force it out --> stutter/struggle. :D Like I said, only really at the start of sentences, more when I'm drinking, causes anxiety/frustration at the time, but no issues public speaking/out and about. Thoughts?
