Sorry, I haven't been on reddit in a few days so I just saw this now. Really want to validate what you're saying about HCRI - although I've heard some people describe that program as being beneficial, it's hard for me to not get a little ticked off when thinking about them. Lots of false hope being sold as a "simple fix". So you're not weird AT ALL for struggling to keep up with the techniques they give you - so many people have had your same experience. A few resources that might be helpful: The friends who stutter organization and the National stuttering association both have support groups that meet regularly (with different groups for several age ranges). Those can be great if you want a community of others who are experiencing stuttering as well. Each of those also have in person meetings in various forms if you're located near one of their chapters or periodic conferences. This YouTube series is neat; shows what stuttering is like from a kid's perspective, and I think we can all relate to it: [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4ohn8hCulK5xHZ76ApiLP7H9WA8yCG6s](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4ohn8hCulK5xHZ76ApiLP7H9WA8yCG6s) This YouTube channel has a bunch of adults who stutter share their experiences: [https://www.youtube.com/@OpenStutter](https://www.youtube.com/@OpenStutter) I'm also a speech therapist who specializes in stuttering - if you want my information I'm happy to give it to you as well. Just message me.
