So I did a deep dive into this and talked to many people that facilitated journeys, researchers, and read everything around it in regard to stuttering and how it worked in clinical trials with depression. So Paul took a huge macro dose..why that worked no one knows. Psilocybin is not well understood but it’s thought to not only give you insight by causing your brain to use parts that it doesn’t automatically use. So for some with a “broken speech pathway” it can possibly open up an area of the brain and the speech will reroute to another pathway and speech becomes temporary fluent. Just depends on the individual complexity of speech route and dose. There was one other person that I found that had her stutter completely cured. It was an elderly lady on hospice. She had a lifelong stutter. They decided to do ketamine therapy for her depression. The first dose of ketamine and her stutter was completely gone. Sad it was at the end of her life, but can you imagine the remaining time she had she could speak her feelings to loved ones. My suggestion is get into a psilocybin clinical trial for depression (they usually don’t ask for prior medical records) and see if it helps your stutter as a side effect. That would be huge for the trial too.
