It's in my family: me, my uncle, a cousin, my grandpa's brother... It's in my genes but it's never passed directly to the children of the person that stutters, so my children will probably not have it. But my brothers and sisters and cousins (who don't stutter) keep a close eye on their children waiting for the one that will. There's always a couple in each generation. My father called me stupid when i mention my stutter as a reason not to have children, but then again he never had to live with it. But as far as i know, it never stopped anyone in my family.
