The clicking creates a reflex that prevents what exactly? A sound? A consonant? Fun fact: many times the stuttering occurs when one is shifting from a consonant to a vowel. Have no problem producing the consonant sound, it’s the transition off the consonant to the vowel. For example the word, “name” “N….n….n..name” No problem saying the /n/ consonant
