I’m thankful to have moved to a small town at a young age. In the city adults were cruel. I had a bus driver slap me in kindergarten for stuttering. In the small town I’m from the kids we’re cereal but most of my teachers were kind. Now that I’m in my twenties I’m glad they made me read out loud and things like that. I didn’t know it but my mother had specifically said “No special treatment” in my IEP and tho I still stutter I think the specification helped me to deal with it better in the long run.
