My stutter got worse in college (as in I’d block so hard my abs would hurt) because I was dealing with some pretty bad anxiety. I still stutter, but going to therapy and eventually taking Lexapro (for my situation specifically) helped me enter scenarios with less fear. It helped me shake off bad interactions faster which in turn kept me from starting off scared before speaking.
