Thank you for the reply. I understand what you are saying. For many though, there is a big difference between overcoming it vs. living with it.  This is not to argue, or belabor a point...however, by your own admission of having to have a lot of continued work to gain fluency is not something accepted by the stuttering community writ large as cured.  It is semantics, I get it. And that is where we disagree. I think what you have seen in this sub is that when the word cure comes up, it is generally believed that no work and near fluency is the result, similar to a non stutterer. It can be a very triggering word for many of us.
