I'm in no way a ''recovering'' stutterer - just someone with a stutter, but yeah I have a degree in performance art and it required a fair bit of being on stage. I got a few acting gigs after graduation. It was fine, no one cared about my speech impairment because they cast me - the guy with the speech impairment, for the role. As for the autobiographical work that constitutes performance art, same deal, \*\*I'm\*\* making it and I have a stutter so it doesn't matter.
