I couldn't agree with this more. We as people who stutter only represent 1% of the population so our brains are constantly exposed to people who talk way differently than us which creates this negative reaction every time we stutter. I love the way you said it - we really can't let this ruin the amazing people we are. I just launched the first Slack-based stuttering community for professionals who stutter and it's entirely free ([www.stutterfreely.com](https://www.stutterfreely.com)). Every day we talk about our experiences stuttering in the workplace and outside of not feeling defeated every time we stutter, you'll also realize you're not alone in how you feel! When we meet other people who stutter who are also going through the same thing, it helps normalize our challenges. Anyone can join the community if they're interested and you'll quickly realize that it's totally okay to stutter and we are still incredible human beings. Cheers to personal growth <3
