not stuttering when you're alone but stuttering in social situations doesn't mean you have "psychological stuttering." while anxiety can be a trigger/intensifier, stuttering is more complex than that. context-dependent stuttering is a normal part of the condition. it's textbook. i don't want anyone to think that since they match this behavior, their stutter can be "fixed." sure, it can be managed, but it may never go away. psychological stuttering isn't even a thing. there is something different called psychogenic stuttering, which refers to a rare kind of acquired stuttering that starts because of psychological stress or trauma.
