Thank you so much for the advice. I am definitely going to preface my next speech with a warning and an apology for the last speech (I can't believe I didn't think of warning everyone sooner, I'm sure that a lot of people thought that I was mentally handicapped or something). I've never been a person who talked with my hands a lot, but I will definitely attempt to get a lot more practice. The one speech I did when I was like 15 was actually for a contest, and I practiced it nonstop and I made it all the way to state level, so of course I practiced that one a lot more. The unexpected blocks were a big problem for me (they never came up when I was practicing so I couldn't shift/change any words), so hopefully I can work on that next time.
