How do I deal with words that start with Vowels? Hello everyone I'm a male , 23 and I have had a stutter since college. It has subsided to a fair extent but I still get nervous due to the "what if I stutter" mentality. I don't generally stutter when I'm with people I'm comfortable with but I get very nervous in social situations. Words like appreciate, inappropriate, oasis (the words that start with a vowel) are particularly difficult. I didn't have it as a kid, but it has become an impediment once I started to think "what if I stutter now? The word starts with a vowel!" Can anyone please suggest techniques that can help me deal with this mindset of "what If I stutter and fail now" and dealing with words that start with Vowels ? Thank you
