In my opinion to say they are cured means not that they dont stutter at all, but that their speech is so smooth that both the speaker and listeners cannot notice. Even people who dont stutter have "stutters", as in ocassional, minor repetitions or small prolongations yet we dont say they stuttered. My father was blessed, but he also put in a hell of a lot of work too. The main reason for my comment was I guess I was dismayed looking through all of these posts in this sub when I finally realized that people genuinely think its impossible to lose a stutter. Having a father who overcame his, that was never really an idea I had in my head. I can understand why other people believe it, as I've had one for 25 years. But the idea that some people are not able overcome it is lunacy!
