also, _ask her_. i don't think i've ever experienced people asking me what _i_ would like. it's always been me (sometimes) telling (some) people to not make suggestions/complete my sentences. most people know to wait, though. also, bear in mind that she might not be all that aware of her stuttering _as an issue_. some stutterers sort of "surf" on top of the problem. but i don't know if it's come up in your conversations. also, it won't necessarily become better. it's not just about "knowing" a person.
