Yeah, interesting. You're a covert stutterer. All of the success, high-bar setting you're talking about, is dependent, or you feel it's dependent, on you hiding your stutter. I don't think it's helpful to denigrate covert stuttering. Yes, acceptance, stuttering openly -- all of that -- is a happier path for people who can do it. But that is something that cannot be forced, and for some people, hiding a stutter is the way they manage. It often comes at a terrible price, which you allude to slightly. But, still, it's just where some people are at, at least for now. However, it's quite something that you're here "proving that stuttering doesn't have to hold you back," meanwhile you're putting a ton of energy into hiding the fact that you even have a stutter. And you take amphetamines (regularly, it sounds like?) to do this.... This post is not really about stuttering not holding you back, but rather what you can do, at great cost (I don't know about you, but many depending on ADD drugs to get thru get into trouble), to pass as someone without a stutter.
