I would say a certain kind of speech therapy really helps. Bot sure where you r located, but I went to the American Institute for Stuttering in NYC when I was sixteen - it's a three week intensive where you actually learn how to control your stuttering with breathing and voluntary control of your vocal cords. It sounds crazy but it really, really works. I am 37 and have gone back twice since the original course - once when I was in 20 for a week and again at 25 for two days. If you contact them, they will refer you to a therapist near you that teaches the same technique.
