I agree it makes it alot harder for us who stutter. I have a couple of serious relationships behind me, the last one ended because I dont want children. My last ex was very cool about my stuttering. She didnt mind helping me ordering things at resturants and stuff like that (I usualy try to do it, but sometimes it just doesnt work, but i hate it because it makes me feel like a child). I dont think she cared one bit, neither did my other couple of serious exes. I have tried online dating a bit (which i must say suck big time as a guy). I have went to dates where I have spoken pretty ok but which havent lead to anything. I dont know if it was because i gave a wrong impression, coming of more insecure than I am, not being able hold a relaxed conversation, or if I wasnt their types at all. But on a postive note I had one date where I had made dinner. And for the first like 2 hours i stuttered like crazy. And i mean crazy. I couldnt get a singel sentence or even a singel word out without crazy amount of stuttering. I also look away or down when I get stuck so that doesnt help with the coming across as confident aspect. I still got laid so even though i wa crazy stuttering she found at least somewhat attractive.
