I have a family member who developed a stutter because of a *massive* (non-malignant) meningioma. It actually got significantly worse after they removed it because of scarring. Brain tumors aren’t a common cause of stuttering but if you suddenly develop a stutter and there was no traumatic brain injury, a brain tumor is definitely one of the possibilities.
