It’s possibly just the kid non-maliciously copying his father. Most all children go through a small period of stuttering / stammering. It’s common. What’s not common is when it continues months later. Like others have said though, early help will never hurt. If he needs it, then hopefully you’re able to nip it in the butt and that’s it.
