Yep that is a cool trick. I use to do that to treat my anxiety but it stopped working after a while. The only long term trick that worked for me is always breathing slow and trying to relax and slow down my speech as movements as much as possible. I still stutter with it but it slows the heartrate and I feel more relaxed even when I get spams from stuttering and it also makes the choking feeling I get more bearable.
