There is not a consensus in the stuttering literature regarding the differences between 'treatment' and 'therapy'. I use them *mostly* interchangeably. That being said, there might be cross-cultural preferences: therapy preferred in US, treatment preferred in other English speaking countries. No one has really looked, because to be frankly honest, as a group researchers / clinicians don't really care. We can appreciate that individuals might have a preference towards a specific word, but when it comes to conveying pertinent information one word works just as well as the other. My view: therapy is overall process, treatment is the specific mode of therapeutic delivery. But that's merely my bias. source: I'm a stuttering SLP edit: sppeelling
