That sucks, kiddo. I follow this sub as a father to two kids who stutter. How are your private conversations with them? I'm guessing they don't have enough patience to talk with you about how it bothers you? To prevent them from interrupting you while you try to explain how you feel, I suggest writing them a note. Write it in a way that seeks positive change. Avoid blaming or aggressive language. As a father to upper-teens, I'd be a sucker for an argument around "you're not always going to be there to do this for me, and I need to figure out how to do this myself" or something like that.
