Do you actively try to sound perfect and clear even when you’re speaking alone? Because even tho you can feel very ease at yourself, your mind subconsciously wants you to always speak perfectly all the time and this can sometimes lead to pressure. My stutter has gotten worse solely because I kept holding myself back from speaking to people, even if I wanted to say something but I was scared to stutter so I didn’t and that apparently made it so much worse so now it’s just repressed communication. Nope, not doing anything with therapists. I think it’s helpful but not super useful. I’m planning on doing exposure therapy by myself where I have to stop holding back and just say what I want to say.
