I'm about to finish up my first semester, and it's going pretty well. The one struggle I have is meeting people, because I pretty much went my whole life not really talking to anyone and just kept all the friends I made as a child. Now I'm 3.5 hours from home and don't know how to strike up a conversation and whatnot. But I'm managing.
