Playing the part not to stutter? Hello everyone. In my experience as a lifetime stutterer I realized that when i adopt an artificial personally, talk with an accent that isn't mine. Or play a character that isn't myself my stutter almost always subsides. But it only works if i talk and behave like a completely different person. Usually a comedic personality. A mockable ridiculous personality. Its nothing i can transfer to my daily life since it is so ridiculous. I noticed when me and my friends play around in online video games where strangers don't know it is happening and we laugh about it with each other. Can anyone else relate to this?
