OP, I am 49 with a extremely severe stutter, and absolutely no social life my entire life. I absolutely know exactly what you are going through. OP, have you heard about The National Stuttering Association (https://westutter.org) aka The NSA. The NSA is an organization meant for people who stutter. The NSA has chapters (support groups) all over the United States as well as virtual chapters. Where once a month fellow stutters meet up and it’s totally FREE. You can attend, take part in the topic of what The Chapter Leader has for that evening. You do not have to take part if you do not want to that night. You’re more than welcome to practice any fluency control technique(s) you are working on. The Chapter Leader and those that attend the chapters are very friendly people. Every single one of them have or are experiencing what you are currently going through or have gone through and can help you through your situation or situations, OP. I would really like to encourage you OP to check out the NSA’s website. It has tonnes of information to help you out. On the home page you will see a search box. In that search box type the word Chapters and hit search. That will bring you to the Chapters page of the website, OP. Good luck OP.
