My first language is Creole, but I immigrated to Australia when I was only 3 y.o. I guess the challenge of having to learn English whilst still developing my Creole messed up my neural speech network somehow. Couple all that with an abusive childhood and it’s the *perfect storm* for developing a speech impediment at a young age (both my brother and I).
