I only stutter on the beginning of sentences (knock on wood) and I go through what seems like peaks and troughs. For a couple weeks, I don't have much trouble. Then, for the next 1-2 months after that it's very difficult to start a lot of sentences, like right now. I don't usually beat it, but when I do, I just say it really quick before I can even think to stutter, or repeat the word in my head until I feel I can say it. Good luck.
