Went completely silent during an oral mockexam - don't know what to do and need tips [vent] So basically, In a few weeks I'll be having my oral exam in English and today we practiced in front of our teacher in order to receive some feedback. In the beginning I was kinda stressed but as it continued I was able to calm down. Then suddenly I got stuck on a specific word and my anxiety was just going through the roof which made my stuttering worse and worse until I wasn't able to say anything - couldn't switch to another word or even another topic. Just complete silence. For the rest of the test I practically set there and didn't dare speaking up or else I would've probably started crying out of embarrassment and anger towards myself What can I do to stop this from happening?? I'll probably speak with my teacher about that but he obviously can't grade me if I say nothing at all What's worse is that this could probably affect my classmates as well if they're not able to pull me out of it as one grading aspect focuses on including everyone and supporting those struggling during the exam. Makes me even more anxious. Wish I'd be able to talk like normal people :')
