I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. My son is 12 and stutters too. It takes him a long time to finish a sentence sometimes. Some days are worse than others. He’s been in speech therapy off and on since he was three. He’s so cool and awesome. He has so many friends and is a joy to be around. It seems to me he doesn’t even notice his stutter but that may come later when he becomes more self aware. Can I ask you some advice? Elementary school speech therapy is done. He’s in middle school now. Should I continue to keep him in speech therapy? Did your parents make you do therapy too? He def doesn’t like that he has to go to speech therapy because he doesn’t feel like he needs it. I want to give him all the opportunities to help him, but what if he doesn’t want the help?
